Can I make a favicon (.ico)?

Why did my PNG get bigger as a JPG?

For graphics with few colors, PNG can be smaller than JPG. JPG suits photographs best. Try WebP for a good balance across both.

What happens to transparency when I convert to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick. Use PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
